Different types of otome kei outfits
Disclaimer: Otome kei does not have official set substyles like lolita does. This is just a compilation to show you what would count as otome kei, with made up names by me.
“Quirky”
Typically seen in older Emily Temple Cute ads, not as common today. The quirky style uses mismatching patterns and colours.

“Calm”
Most common style. The calm look is toned down and uses matching colours and some accessories that match the theme.

“Soft lolita”
For when you’re not quite sure if you’d tag it as lolita or as otome kei, and it could actually be both. Usually seen when a lolita wants to go casual.
